Tamron Patent for mirrorless consumer zooms

Tamron for mirrorless seems to have found a niche that they are current exploting for full frame mirrorless cameras.  Make the lense small, compact, light and cheap and people will buy.

In this patent application, we see some full frame lenses that may just appear for mirrorless.

  • Tamron 70-350mm F4.5-F6.3
  • Tamron 80-300mm F4.5 - F6.3
  • Tamron 80-250mm F4.5 - F6.3

The main point of the patent application is that the lenses have image stablization built into them, and the size of the lens is downsized as much as possible.

An object of the present invention is to provide a zoom lens that realizes a high zoom ratio and is provided with a vibration isolation group and can be downsized not only in the optical total length direction but also in the radial direction.
