While this lens isn't exactly for mirrorless - with Sigma's sole focus these days being on L and FE mount (and most likely soon to be the RF and Z mounts) it would not be surprising to see this lens (and other telephotos) made for mirrorless. For the most part, most telephotos don't have much in the way of optical redesign for mirrorless, as the back elements are usually so far forward that it doesn't matter.
This is the case with this lens, with a back focus over 50mm.
