New rumor: Sony E-mount gear for CP+
The latest rumors, from reliable sources from SonyAlphaRumors suggest that Sony will definitely announce new E-mount gear for CP+. That in itself isn't much of a surprise considering that CP+ is the premier show in Japan, and this year the Olympics are going to be held there. Odds are all the vendors will have new and interesting products to show.
The sources suggest that there will be a new camera, however, nothing in terms of what camera. We are still waiting for the unicorn camera, the A7S III (or quite possibly the A7S IV now). There is a good likelihood that Sony will announce the successor to the wildly successful A7III based upon the same technology in the A7R IV. If it is an A7 IV, then it stands to reason that it would be based on the same features as the A7R IV. So the EVF, AF system and body design will come from the A7R IV.
As well, Sony is expected to announce six new e-mount lenses in 2020. No word on what lenses will be released at this time.
