Fujifilm coming out with new ergonomics featured in the X-A7

The X-A7 coming out from Fujifilm is now rumored to feature some drastic change to ergonomics from prior models.

The main feature is that the X-A7 is getting a larger vari-angle display, similar to the ones used by Canon.

Puzzling is the other ergonomic changes that have been leaked which include;

  • no D-PAD
  • Includes a Joystick

While I could see getting rid of the D-Pad and using the touch screen display, it would seem odd than not to also use the display for AF point selection.  Why have physical controls for one, and not the other.

We shall see, but it seems like it's going to be a significant divergence to how Fuji did the X-A models in the past.
