Fujifilm applies for an EVF patent with Diffractive Optics
Fujfilm has applied for a patent for an advanced eyepiece used for EVF's using diffractive optics to help correct for abberations.
An eyepiece optical system is mounted on a viewfinder of an optical apparatus such as a digital camera. As a conventional eyepiece optical system, for example, an optical system described in Patent Document 1 below is known. The eyepiece optical system described in Patent Document 1 can be used for a telescope and binoculars, and is configured using a diffractive optical element. In addition, as eyepiece optical systems configured using diffractive optical elements, optical systems described in Patent Document 2 and Patent Document 3 below are known. The eyepiece optical system described in Patent Document 2 can be used for binoculars, telescopes, and microscopes.
