Nikon Nikkor Z 24-70mm f/2.8 S Pro Lens Review
In what looks to be an exception performing lens, ePhotozine has completed their review of the Nikon Nikkor Z 24-70mm f/2.8 S Pro lens.
- Outstanding sharpness
- Virtually zero CA
- Excellent flare resistance
- Dust and moisture resistance
- Excellent handling
- Quality manufacture
- Custom functions
- OLED display
- Price at the high end
- Distortion levels
If this is an indication of the expected standard of Nikon Z lenses, then we may well have something exceptional here. The quality of the images is gorgeous and the technical measurements bear this out as well. OK, the price is high, and a margin above the competition as well, but on the other hand what price quality? For each of us, this point will be different, but the cost is not totally out of the ballpark and the qualities of the lens are very, very tempting.
Admittedly buying a Nikon Z7 to go with this is not exactly a low price option, but if that is where the photographer places the cash, then the Nikon Nikkor Z 24-70mm f/2.8 S lens will definitely not disappoint.
At a glance the Nikon Nikkor Z 24-70mm f/2.8 S Pro main features are;
